About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them.

Paul and Silas were in a pretty bad situation, they were in prison, but they kept praying and singing to God.  No matter what the situation you find yourself in keep praying and singing to God.  Keep praising God until he gives you the victory.
