He does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities.

Mercy is the divine act of God bestowing upon us love, compassion, and forgiveness in lieu of the punishment we rightfully deserve for our sins. Throughout the Bible, God’s mercy towards His people is prominently displayed, most profoundly through Jesus Christ, who sacrificially paid the price for our transgressions, enabling our reconciliation with God. Though deserving of death for our sins, God, in His boundless love, sent His only Son to redeem us. The scope of God’s mercy extends far beyond the cross; it remains readily available to us whenever we are in need. With unwavering confidence, approach the throne of grace, lay your requests before the Lord, and receive the bountiful mercy offered to you this day.
