Verse of the Day: 1 Timothy 2:1

I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people

Intercession is the act of praying on behalf of others. It allows us not only to approach God for ourselves but also to pray for God’s blessings upon our family and friends. Through intercession, we lift up their needs, health, and most importantly, we can pray for their salvation. God desires for all people to be saved, prompting us to pray for everyone we know and even those we don’t know. Consider how many lives have been transformed and souls brought to God through the faithful prayers of others. When we intercede and demonstrate our care and concern for others, God’s love works through us. Nothing proves you love someone more than mentioning them in your prayers.
