Christmas is Forgiving

Verse of the Day: Matthew 6:14-15

For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.

We’ve all made mistakes, none of us are perfect. There are times when we need to seek forgiveness and times when we need to extend it to others. How can we come to God asking for His forgiveness if we haven’t forgiven those who have wronged us?

It’s true, some offenses may feel unforgivable. Yet, when we hold onto blame and unforgiveness, it creates bitterness in our own heart, robbing us of peace and joy. Forgiveness is not about excusing the wrong; it’s about freeing yourself from the burden of anger and resentment. It’s the first step toward healing and allows you to move forward with your life.

Life is too short to cling to the pain and grudges of the past. Trust in God’s grace and let go of the anger. By offering the gift of forgiveness not only to the offender, but also to yourself, you open your heart to His healing and peace. Forgive as God forgives and let His love guide you toward freedom and restoration.
