Verse of the Day: Matthew 2:2
Where is the one who has been born King of the Jews? We saw his star in the East and have come to worship him.
The long-awaited sign of the Savior’s birth finally appeared in the night sky, a star unlike any other. The magi recognizing its significance, knew that the King of the Jews had been born and that prophecy had been fulfilled: “A star will rise from Jacob; a scepter will emerge from Israel” (Numbers 24:17).
The star carries a profound message: peace on earth and goodwill toward men. It is a heavenly sign of fulfilled prophecy and a beacon of hope for all humanity. With the birth of Jesus Christ, the Messiah, God’s promise was realized. Jesus came to pay for our sins and restore our relationship with God, offering salvation and eternal peace. Let the star remind us of the shining hope we have in Christ, our Savior.
