Verse of the Day: 1 Kings 18:43-44
“Go and look toward the sea”, he told his servant. And he went up and looked. There is nothing there,” he said. The seventh time the servant reported, “A cloud as small as a man’s hand is rising from the sea.”
Even in moments when it may seem like God’s plan is hidden from your view and you don’t sense His presence working on your behalf, remember that He is continually at work. Keep trusting God, hold onto your faith, believe in His plan, and keep hoping. Offer praise and worship while patiently waiting for His favor, no matter how long it takes for your prayers to be answered.
Remember the story in 1 Kings 18:43-44, when Elijah told his servant to look toward the sea, and it wasn’t until the seventh time that the servant saw a small cloud rising. That small cloud was the beginning of God’s promise being fulfilled. In the same way, keep trusting and praising, even if it takes seven times or seven hundred times, because when God says something is going to happen, it’s going to happen.
God watches over you and hears your every prayer, so never lose heart, and don’t you give up. Continue to lift up your praises to Him as you step out in faith, for in His perfect timing, you will see His promises come to pass.
Oceans (Where Feet May Fail) by Hillsong United speaks of stepping out in faith, trusting God’s presence even in uncertainty.
