Verse of the Day: Philippians 2:3
Do nothing from selfish or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves.
We find ourselves living in an era where a culture of selfish ambition has become the norm. Society often encourages us to prioritize ourselves above all else and adopt a self-centered mindset. However, the Bible imparts a different wisdom, urging us to embrace humility and not to view ourselves as more important than others.
Praise be to God whose love is selfless, unwavering, and pure! True love, as outlined in the Scriptures, is selfless—characterized by compromise, consideration, and thoughtfulness. It places the well-being and happiness of others above our own desires and is deeply concerned with their needs. What greater example of selfless love do we have than Jesus, who humbled Himself to serve, heal, and ultimately lay down His life for us?
One of the most profound expressions of love is the act of prayer. When we lift others up in prayer, we are not only loving them but also worshiping our Lord—acknowledging that He alone is the source of all wisdom, provision, and healing. Nothing proves you love someone more than bringing their needs before the throne of grace.
“Less Like Me” by Zach Williams is a heartfelt song about striving to be more like Jesus—more selfless, kind, and humble.
