Love is the Greatest Virtue

Verse of the Day: 1 Corinthians 13:13

And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love.

The dictionary defines love as an intense feeling of deep affection. However, praise be to God, for His Word reveals that love is far more than a fleeting emotion—it is the greatest of all virtues and the very nature of God Himself. “God is love” (1 John 4:8), and His love is perfect, unshakable, and eternal.

True love, as defined by Scripture, is patient and kind, devoid of envy or boastfulness, arrogance or rudeness. It does not insist on its own way, nor is it easily angered or resentful. Lord, we worship You for Your love that rejoices in truth, carries our burdens, strengthens our faith, and fills us with unwavering hope.

Love bears all trials, sustains faith in every circumstance, fosters hope in all possibilities, and endures through every challenge. We lift our hearts in worship, for Your love never fails, never gives up, and never runs out on us.

“One Thing Remains” by Jesus Culture emphasizes the enduring and unfailing nature of God’s love.
