Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.

As a nation, we are blessed to enjoy the freedoms and rights we have in this country. Every year, we celebrate the day we declared our independence, and it’s a reminder of just how fortunate we are to have the liberties of freedom of religion, speech, the press, petition, and assembly. We also hold dear the inalienable rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

But as believers in Jesus Christ, we have an even greater freedom, a spiritual freedom that’s worth celebrating every single day! Because of Jesus, we are free to believe, to trust, and to love the Lord with all our heart. We are no longer bound by fear, sin, or condemnation.

Take time to enjoy the life and the freedom that God, in His great love, has given you. Celebrate the true and everlasting freedom that comes from knowing Jesus as your Savior.

Let’s lift our hearts in praise today, thanking God for the freedom only He can give, a freedom that can never be taken away!
