Verse of the Day: Matthew 7:12
So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.
The Golden Rule, treating others the way we want to be treated, is a timeless truth, found not only in the Bible but reflected in many cultures. It’s such a basic principle that we teach it to our children, yet how often do we, as adults, forget to live it out? Today, some embrace the Platinum Rule, treating others the way they want to be treated, with attention to their preferences and experiences.
But as followers of Jesus, we’re called to something even higher, what I call the Palladium Rule: treating others the way Jesus would treat them. He showed us what it means to love unconditionally, to forgive freely, to serve humbly, and to show mercy even to our enemies. He calls us to walk in His footsteps, to love as He loved, and to reflect His heart in our daily lives.
While we may not always get it right, we praise God for the gift of the Holy Spirit who guides us, convicts us, and helps us grow. Let every act of kindness be a form of worship. Let our love for others become an offering that honors Christ, who loved us first. May our lives be a daily praise to the One who showed us perfect love.
“Live Like That” by Sidewalk Prophets is a powerful reminder to live each day in a way that reflects Jesus, loving and serving others as He did.
