Verse of the Day: Matthew 4:4
Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’
Just as bread nourishes and strengthens the body, the Word of God sustains and renews the soul. Our bodies cannot go long without food and without proper nourishment, they grow weak and vulnerable. In the same way, our souls need daily spiritual nourishment to stay strong and healthy.
Praise God for providing exactly what we need. Just as He gave manna to the Israelites in the wilderness to satisfy their hunger, He gives us His Word to satisfy the hunger of our hearts. His Word is alive, powerful, and always available to those who seek it.
Worship the Lord by treasuring His Word as your daily bread. Just as good nutrition helps your body grow strong and defend against illness, the Word of God helps you grow in faith, live a godly life, and resist sin and temptation.
Even Jesus, when tempted by the devil, used scripture to stand firm. He said, “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.” But if you don’t know the Word, how can you use it to fight the enemy’s attacks?
Let today be a reminder to nourish your soul with God’s Word. Read it daily. Meditate on it. Hide it in your heart. Through His Word, God will strengthen you, guide you, and draw you closer to Him. Praise God for this precious gift, and let your life be a reflection of the truth.
“Satisfied” – Jordan Feliz is a joyful reminder that the deepest longing of the heart can only be satisfied by Jesus.
