Choosing Friends

Verse of the Day: Proverbs 12:26

The righteous choose their friends carefully, but the way of the wicked leads them astray.

Reflection

The people I spend the most time with naturally have an affect on heart and my walk with God. Without even realizing it, I can start to reflect the habits, values, and attitudes of those around me. That’s why it’s so important to choose friends who share my faith and encourage me to grow closer to the Lord.

True friendship isn’t just about having fun or sharing interests, it’s about helping each other walk in truth, grace, and love. Godly friends pray for one another, speak truth in love, and remind each other of God’s promises. When I surround myself with people who love the Lord, my faith grows stronger, and my spirit stays aligned with His will. And just as I seek friends like that, I also want to be that kind of friend. I want to be a friend who encourages, uplifts, and points others to Jesus.

Prayer

Lord, thank You for the blessing of friendship. Help me to choose my friends wisely with those who encourage my faith and draw me closer to You. Give me discernment to recognize relationships that are healthy and honoring to You. Teach me to be a true friend, one who loves with grace, prays with sincerity, and reflects Your heart in all things. Amen.

Life Reminder

Surround yourself with friends who strengthen your faith and reflect God’s love. And don’t forget to be that kind of friend in return.
