Verse of the Day: Proverbs 22:24-25
Do not make friends with a hot-tempered person, do not associate with one easily angered, or you may learn their ways and get yourself ensnared.
Reflection
I’ve learned that the people I spend time with have a powerful impact on who I become. It’s true, we often reflect the attitudes and behaviors of those closest to us. That’s why it’s so important to surround myself with friends who love God, walk in peace, and encourage me to grow in faith. Godly friends lift me up, pray for me, and point me back to Jesus when life gets hard.
But spending too much time with people who are angry, negative, or unkind can slowly pull me off course. Anger and bitterness can spread quickly, and before I know it, I can start reacting the same way. I want to be intentional in choosing relationships that bring peace, not chaos. I want friendships that help me to become more like Christ.
Prayer
Lord, thank You for the gift of friendship. Give me wisdom to choose friends who reflect Your heart and help me grow in grace. Protect me from relationships that lead me away from You and help me to be a friend who brings peace, love, and encouragement to others. Thank You for being my example of always being faithful, patient, and kind. Amen.
Life Reminder
You become like the people you spend time with. Choose friends who reflect God’s peace and be the kind of friend who leads others closer to Him.
