Verse of the Day: 2 Corinthians 4:8-9

We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.

There are so many disturbing things going on in the world right now including armed conflicts and wars, human rights violations, political corruption, economic inequality, environmental degradation, and natural disasters just to name a few. As Christians, we need to remember that God did not give us a spirit of fear but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.(2 Timothy 1:7) We may encounter difficulties, but we will not be defeated. We may face hardship, but we will not be forsaken. We may even get knocked down, but we will get up again and persevere. Jesus said we would have troubles but He also offers comfort and encouragement because He has overcome the world.(John 16:33)
