Verse of the Day: Psalm 66:18
If I had cherished sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened; but God has surely listened and has heard my voice in prayer.
Reflection
Sin can create distance between my heart and God by clouding the truth. I’m grateful that even though I fall short, God’s grace draws me back to Him. None of us are perfect. We stumble, we fail, and we make mistakes, but when we come to Him with a humble and repentant heart, He listens.
Instead of holding onto pride or guilt, I’m learning to bring my shortcomings before the Lord in honesty and surrender. When I confess my sins and turn from them, my fellowship with Him is restored, and peace fills my spirit again. God’s mercy is greater than my failures, and His love never runs out.
Prayer
Father, thank You for hearing my prayers and for loving me even when I fall short. Forgive me for the times I’ve held onto sin instead of turning to You. Purify my heart, renew my spirit, and draw me close again. Help me to walk in obedience, humility, and gratitude, trusting in Your unfailing love and forgiveness. Amen.
Life Reminder
Don’t let sin build a wall between you and God. Confess quickly, repent sincerely, and rejoice deeply. Thank God for His mercy is new every morning.
