Taking Refuge in the Lord

Verse of the Day: Psalm 57:1

Have mercy on me, my God, have mercy on me, for in you I take refuge. I will take refuge in the shadow of your wings until the disaster has passed.

Reflection

Faith is tested most when life feels uncertain and overwhelming. In those moments, I let go of trying to be in control and instead seek refuge in the One who offers to keep me safe. Surrendering my fears allows me to rest rather than panic, trusting that I am being held in God’s hands even when answers aren’t clear. When I bring my worries honestly and stay close to God, my heart begins to settle and my strength is renewed. Choosing faith over fear helps me move through the storm with peace and confidence.

Prayer

Lord, Help me turn to You when fear arises and uncertainty feels heavy. Teach me to rest in You instead of resisting and to trust You while I wait. Give me peace as I stay close to You. Amen

Life Reminder

When life feels overwhelming, choosing the security found in God can bring calm and strength until the storm passes.
