God Is My Shelter

Verse of the Day: Psalm 91:1

Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.

Reflection

When life gets loud, uncertain, or stormy, I choose where I’m going to run. I can spiral into fear, or I can stay close to the One who keeps me steady. Peace isn’t found in escaping the storm, but in staying grounded in the middle of it.

When I make God my shelter, I don’t have to act like I have it all together. I can admit when I’m tired. I can slow my thoughts. I can breathe. Staying close shifts something inside me. The chaos around me doesn’t control me the way it used to. Fear doesn’t get the final say when I remember where I rest.

This isn’t a once-in-a-while choice for me. It’s daily. I invite Him into my decisions, my reactions, my schedule, and even my quiet thoughts. The closer I stay, the more secure I feel. In that nearness, I find a steady rest that carries me through whatever comes.

Prayer

Lord, Thank You for being my safe place in every season. Help me choose closeness instead of fear when life feels uncertain. Teach me to rest in Your steadiness each day. Amen

Life Reminder

When you choose to stay close to God, you always have a steady place to rest.
