Faith Over Fear

Verse of the Day: Psalm 56:3

When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.

Reflection

I don’t pretend I’m never afraid. Fear shows up and it whispers worst-case scenarios. It makes me question myself. But this verse gives me a simple response, faith over fear.

David didn’t deny his fear, he brought it to God. That challenges me. Instead of stuffing it down or letting it control me, I bring it honestly to the Lord. I tell Him exactly what I’m feeling. And then I make a decision, fear doesn’t get the final word.

I know how easy it is to hesitate when I feel unsure. Fear can keep me stuck, second-guessing, overthinking. But if I let it lead, I’ll miss the very thing God is calling me toward. So when fear rises, I answer it with faith. I remind myself that God is with me, He equips me, and I don’t walk forward alone.

Courage doesn’t mean I don’t feel fear. It means I trust God more than I trust my fear. When I do that, I can step forward with confidence instead of stepping back.

Prayer

Lord, thank You that I can bring my fears to You honestly. When fear tries to hold me back, help me trust You more than my feelings. Give me courage to step forward in faith today. Amen

Life Reminder

When fear shows up, choose to trust God, He will give you the courage to move forward.
