Morning Prayer

Verse of the Day: Psalm 5:3

In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly.

Reflection

Morning prayer really does set the tone for my whole day. Before the notifications start buzzing on my phone and the to-do list begins running through my head, I take time to pray. I remind myself that this new day didn’t just happen, it’s a gift and I don’t want to rush into it without first getting some alone time with God.

I start with gratitude. I thank God for waking me up, for breath in my lungs, for another chance to do things better than yesterday. Then I lay it all out honestly, the meetings I’m thinking about, the conversations I’m nervous about, the things I can’t control no matter how hard I try. Instead of carrying all of it alone, I place it before Him and choose to wait with expectation instead of stress.

When I invite Him into my day, I walk into the day calmer and clearer. I’m not just reacting, I’m responding to what’s going on. Those quiet moments with God ground me before the day starts tugging at me from every direction. Starting my day in prayer helps me feel steady and it really changes everything.

Prayer

Father, thank You for the gift of this new morning. I bring You my plans, my worries, and my hopes, trusting that You hear me. Give me peace and direction as I step into today with You. Amen

Life Reminder

When you begin your morning with God, He helps steady your heart for whatever the day brings.
