Standing In the Gap

Verse of the Day: Luke 5:20

And when he saw their faith, he said, “Man your sins are forgiven you.”

Reflection

When I see someone hurting, overwhelmed, or troubled, I don’t want to just feel bad for them. I want to step in. I may not have the answers, but I can carry their name into prayer.

There are moments when people are too exhausted to believe for themselves. Life can knock the wind out of you. In those times, I choose to believe on their behalf. I stay persistent in prayer. I keep bringing them before God, even when nothing seems to be changing on the surface. I trust that He sees what I can’t and hears every word I speak for them.

I never want to underestimate intercession. Just because I don’t see immediate results doesn’t mean nothing is happening. I’m not powerless in someone else’s struggle. I do what I can and I give the rest to God. When I stand in the gap, my faith becomes a bridge, and that truly makes a difference for the people I care about.

Prayer

Father, thank You for hearing me when I lift others up to You. Give me steady, bold faith to keep praying even when answers take time. Strengthen those I’m standing in the gap for and move in ways only You can. Amen

Life Reminder

When someone is too weak to believe, God can use your faithful prayers to help carry them through.
