Give Freely

Verse of the Day: Proverbs 11:24

One person gives freely, yet gains even more; another withholds unduly, but comes to poverty.

Reflection

I’ll be honest, it’s easy for me to hold on tight. Whether it’s my money, my time, or even my energy, sometimes I catch myself thinking, What if I don’t have enough? The world teaches me to protect what’s mine, to save, to secure, to make sure I’m covered first.

But God keeps teaching me something different. Everything I have, all of my resources, my gifts, my opportunities all come from Him. I’m not the owner, I’m a steward. When I really let that sink in, it changes how I give. I’m not losing something when I give. I’m planting something.

I’ve seen it in my own life. The times I’ve given even when it wasn’t easy, whether it was financially, serving someone, or simply showing up, I’ve never ended up lacking. Somehow, I always have what I need. Sometimes it comes back as provision. Sometimes it comes back as peace. Sometimes it comes back as joy I didn’t expect.

Giving shifts my heart. It loosens fear. It builds trust. It reminds me that my security isn’t in what I hold on to, it’s in the God who provides. And I’ve learned that real wealth isn’t about how much I keep. It’s about how willing I am to open my hands.

Prayer

Father God, thank You for being so generous with me. Thank You for providing for my needs again and again. Help me to trust You enough to give freely without fear. Teach me to be open-handed with my time, my resources, and my love. Grow my faith as I learn to depend on You as my provider. Amen.

Life Reminder

When you trust God enough to give to others, you’ll discover that generosity grows your heart in ways money never could.
