Verse of the Day: Luke 19:10

For the Son of Man came to seek and to save that which was lost. Reflection

There was a time in my life when I didn’t even realize how lost I was. I was going through the motions, doing my thing, but there was still this emptiness in my heart. The more I look back, the more I see that even though I was running from Him, He never stopped calling me and He never gave up on me. That truth moves me.

Sin created distance between me and God. I felt the weight of guilt. I felt the shame. I tried to fix things on my own more than once. But Jesus didn’t come to point fingers at me. He came to rescue me. He stepped into my mess, paid the price I couldn’t pay, and made a way for me to come back to God.

Salvation is a free gift, but I still had to respond. I had to turn around. I had to admit I needed Him. I had to surrender my pride and choose obedience. That decision changed everything for me. Not because I became perfect overnight, but because I was no longer lost without hope.

Now when I think about it, I can’t keep that to myself. If He came looking for me, then there are others He’s still calling. I want to care about people who feel far from God, to speak up about the hope I’ve found, and to never forget where I came from. Jesus came to seek and to save. And I’m living proof that He still does.

Prayer

Father God, thank You for not giving up on me when I was lost. Thank You for sending Jesus to rescue me and for making a way back to You. Help me to live with a grateful heart and to walk in obedience every day. Give me boldness to share the hope I’ve found and compassion for those who are still searching. Use my life to point others toward You. Amen.

You are never too far gone, Jesus still seeks, still saves, and still makes a way back to God for anyone who turns to Him.
