Be There for Each Other

Verse of the Day: Galatians 6:2

Bear one another’s burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ.

Reflection

Life has a way of shifting unexpectedly. Some days I’m the strong one. Other days, I’m the one barely holding it together. I’ve had moments when I needed someone to listen, pray, or just sit with me without trying to fix everything. And days when I was there to listen, pray, or just sit with a friend. And I’ve learned something important, we were never meant to do this alone.

When someone trusts me enough to share what they’re carrying, that’s not random. That’s an opportunity. Bearing someone’s burden doesn’t always mean solving their problem. Most of the time, it just means showing up. It means listening without interrupting. It means praying when they don’t have the words. It means sending the text, making the call, or dropping off the meal.

I’ve also had to learn how to let others help me. That part isn’t always easy. Not wanting to ask for help can sometimes get in the way. But there is something powerful about allowing someone to stand with me in a hard season. This is what love and friendship looks like in real life. Not just saying we care, but actually stepping in when it counts. When I carry someone else’s burden, I’m reflecting the heart of Christ in a practical way. And the world feels a little lighter when we choose to carry it together.

Prayer

Father God, thank You for placing people in my life to walk beside me. Thank You for never leaving me to carry my burdens alone. Help me to be aware of the people around me who need support. Give me a willing heart to show up, to listen, and to love through action. Teach me to both give and receive help with humility. Amen.

Life Reminder

Pay attention to who God places in your path. Showing up, even in a small way, can make someone feel less alone in whatever they may be facing.
