Verse of the Day: John 4:23
But the time is coming—indeed it’s here now—when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. The Father is looking for those who will worship him that way.
Reflection
When I was young, worship for me was mostly just singing along at church. I knew the words. I felt the music. But sometimes my heart wasn’t really engaged. I was there physically, but not fully present.
As I’ve grown in my relationship with God, I see that worship is deeper than that.
To worship in truth, I have to actually know Him. Not just know about Him, but know His character. Know what He says in His Word. The more I understand who He is, His love, His faithfulness, His patience with me, the more real my worship becomes. It stops being routine and starts being personal.
And worship in spirit? For me, that means it’s coming from the inside. It’s honest. It’s not about who’s around me or how I sound. It’s about my heart connecting with God. Sometimes that happens in church. Sometimes it happens in my kitchen. Sometimes it’s in the car singing along to a song on the radio that feels like it was meant just for me.
I don’t want surface-level faith. I want something real. And real worship starts with a real relationship.
Prayer
Father God, thank You for inviting me into a real relationship with You. Thank You for revealing who You are through Your Word. Help me to worship You with honesty and depth. Teach me to live in a way that reflects my love for You, not just in songs, but in my everyday choices. Amen
Life Reminder
Let your worship be real and let your love for Him show up in how you live every day.
