Verse of the Day: John 8:32
Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.
Reflection
For a long time, I thought freedom meant doing whatever I wanted. No limits, no rules, just doing what I felt like doing. But that kind of “freedom” actually left me confused and feeling empty more than anything else. The more I tried to figure life out on my own, the more complicated things felt.
What changed everything for me was getting serious about my faith and the truth, not my truth, not culture’s truth, but God’s truth. When I started to have a real relationship with Jesus and applying what He teaches, something changed inside me. I began to see the lies I believed about myself, about my worth, and about what would make me happy. God’s truth exposed those lies and it felt freeing.
Getting to know Jesus didn’t instantly remove every problem, but it did break the chains that were holding my thinking captive. I wasn’t stuck in guilt and shame in the same way. I wasn’t chasing empty things like before, I had a new direction. I had peace that made sense even when life didn’t.
I learned that freedom isn’t about doing whatever I feel like doing, it’s about living aligned with God’s truth. The closer I stay to Jesus and His Word, the freer I actually feel.
Real freedom starts when I choose God’s truth over the enemy’s lies and that’s a freedom no one can ever take from me.
Prayer
Father God, thank You for the truth that brings real freedom into my life. Thank You for opening my eyes and giving me wisdom where I once felt confused. Help me to keep choosing Your truth over my own understanding or feelings. Break any lies I’m still believing and renew my mind so I can walk in the freedom You offer every day. Amen
Life Reminder
When you choose God’s truth over the world’s noise, you step into the kind of freedom that truly changes your life.
