Verse of the Day: Psalm 73:26
My flesh and my heart may fail; but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
Reflection
I’ve had days when I felt physically tired, emotionally drained, or just discouraged. There have been days when I didn’t handle things well. Days when I doubted. Times when I felt like I should be stronger than I was in that moment. But this is what I keep coming back to: even when I fail, God’s love doesn’t.
My strength runs out. My patience runs thin. My emotions fluctuate. But His love doesn’t shift with my feelings. He isn’t loving me more on my good days and less on my bad ones. His love is steady.
When my heart feels overwhelmed, He becomes the strength I don’t have. When I don’t know what to do next, He becomes my peace. I don’t have to pretend I’m strong. I can come to Him exactly as I am, tired, unsure, imperfect and He meets me there.
The older I get and the more experiences I have with God, I see that He is my portion, my security, my constant, my forever. Everything else can shift. Everything else will fade. But His love never will. Even when I feel like I’m falling short, I am still held by God.
Prayer
Father God, thank You for loving me even when I feel weak and insecure. Thank You for being the strength of my heart when mine runs out. Help me to rest in Your steady love instead of striving for perfection. Remind me that You are my refuge and my portion no matter what I face. Amen
Life Reminder
God’s love never fails and it will never give up on you or let you go.
