Verse of the Day: 2 Chronicles 7:14
Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and I will forgive their sins and restore their land.
Reflection
It’s easy for me to look at the world and point out everything that’s wrong. I see division, anger, selfishness, and brokenness. But this verse brings it back to something personal, change doesn’t start “out there.” It starts with me.
If I want to see healing, I have to humble myself first. That means I stop acting like I have all the answers. I pray. I seek God honestly. I look at my own heart and deal with the pride, the selfishness, and the habits that don’t line up with His ways.
Real change begins when I’m willing to turn from what I know isn’t right. Not just feel bad about it, but actually repent. When I do that, God promises to respond. He hears. He forgives. He restores. That gives me so much hope.
I may not be able to fix the whole world, but I can let God transform me. And when He changes my heart, that change reaches the people around me.
Prayer
Lord, thank You for Your mercy and willingness to restore me. Help me humble myself, pray sincerely, and turn away from anything that pulls me away from You. Start the change in me and use my life to reflect Your healing. Amen
Life Reminder
When you humble yourself and seek God first, He begins the restoration in you and then it spreads outward.
