Verse of the Day: Psalm 3:5
I lie down and sleep: I wake again because the Lord sustains me.
Reflection
There have been nights when my mind just won’t shut off. I replay conversations. I think about problems. I try to solve tomorrow before it even gets here and I can feel the weight of it all sitting on my chest.
But this verse reminds me that I can actually lie down and sleep because God is the One holding everything together, not me. I don’t have to stay awake keeping the world in order. He does that just fine without my help.
When I bring my worries to Him and really release them, I’m able to have peace of mind. I’m not pretending the problems don’t exist. I’m just choosing to trust that He’s bigger than they are. When I give it all to Him, my body and mind can finally rest.
Waking up the next morning is its own reminder, He sustained me through the night. He carried what I couldn’t, and if He got me through yesterday, He’ll carry me through today too.
Prayer
Lord, thank You for sustaining me day and night. Help me release my worries before I lay down and trust You with what I can’t control. Fill my heart with peace so I can truly rest. Amen
Life Reminder
When you place your worries in God’s hands, you can rest knowing He is the One taking care of you.
