Don’t Put It Off

Verse of the Day: Proverbs 3:28

Don’t say to your neighbor, “Go and come back; I’ll give it to you tomorrow,” when you have it.

Reflection

I’ve caught myself thinking, “I’ll do it tomorrow.” I’ll call them back. I’ll help later. I’ll give when it’s more convenient. But God tells me not to delay when I already have the ability to help.

God has been generous with me. He’s provided, opened doors, and met needs I couldn’t meet on my own. The blessings in my life aren’t just for me to hold onto, they’re meant to flow through me.

Tomorrow isn’t guaranteed. If God puts someone on my heart today, that’s my cue. Maybe it’s a kind word. Maybe it’s practical help. Maybe it’s generosity. Whatever it is, I don’t want to hesitate out of convenience or comfort. I want to let God work through me.

When I respond right away, I’m living open-handed. I’m reflecting the generosity I’ve received. And those small, timely acts can make a bigger difference than I realize.

Prayer

Lord, thank You for being generous with me. Help me respond quickly when You nudge my heart to help someone. Teach me to live generously and to always be willing to let help. Amen

Life Reminder

When God gives you the opportunity to help today, don’t wait, your obedience could bless someone more than you know.
