Wisdom from Heaven

Verse of the Day: James 3:17

Wisdom that comes from heaven is pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.

Reflection

I can always tell the difference between when I’m running on my own understanding and when I’m leaning on God’s wisdom. My way usually feels rushed, defensive, or prideful. His way feels steady, calm, and clear.

When I ask God for wisdom, it changes how I respond. I’m slower to react. I’m more willing to listen. I start choosing peace over proving a point. That doesn’t mean I ignore problems, it just means I handle them differently. With more patience. More mercy. More sincerity.

God’s wisdom softens my heart. It helps me see people with compassion instead of judgment. It reminds me I don’t have to win every argument or have the last word. Sometimes the wisest move is to stay humble and keep the peace.

I know I can’t produce that kind of wisdom on my own. It’s something God grows in me when I’m willing to seek Him and stay teachable. And when I walk in that kind of wisdom, my life feels lighter, clearer, and more aligned with Him.

Prayer

Lord, thank You for the wisdom You freely give. Help me lean on Your understanding instead of my own and choose peace, mercy, and sincerity in my daily life. Teach me to stay humble and open to Your guidance. Amen

Life Reminder
