Verse of the Day: Psalm 46:10
Be still, and know that I am God
Reflection
I don’t know why I feel like I have to fix everything. When something goes wrong, my first instinct is to figure it out, solve it, control it. I replay conversations. I plan five steps ahead for things that may not even happen. I stress myself out trying to make things move.
But this verse tells me to be still. Not to panic. Not to push harder. Just pause.
Being still doesn’t mean I stop caring. It means I stop striving. I let go of the need to control every outcome. I remind myself that God sees what I can’t see. He knows the details I don’t. He’s already working in ways I don’t understand yet.
When I slow down and actually trust Him, I can breath. I don’t have to force doors open. I don’t have to carry every burden by myself. He is God and I’m not, and that truth takes the pressure off.
Stillness doesn’t mean I’m doing nothing. I’m trusting God, and when I choose to rest instead of rush, I find a peace I can’t create on my own.
Prayer
Lord, thank You that I don’t have to control everything. Help me to just be still and trust You with the things that feel heavy. Teach me to rest in Your strength instead of relying on my own. Amen
Life Reminder
When you release control and trust God, stillness becomes your strength instead of your struggle.
