Verse of the Day: Matthew 7:12
So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.
Reflection
The Golden Rule sounds so simple, treat people the way I want to be treated. I learned that as a kid. But it’s easy to forget when I’m frustrated, rushed, or feeling misunderstood.
I can talk about kindness all day, but living it out is different. It shows up in small moments like how I respond to a rude comment, how I treat someone who disagrees with me, how patient I am when I’m tired. That’s where it counts.
I’ve also learned it goes deeper than just “how would I want to be treated?” Sometimes it’s asking, “How would Jesus respond here?” Would He be harsh? Dismissive? Cold? No. He would be loving, honest, patient, and full of mercy. That raises the standard for me.
I won’t always get it perfect. But I want my daily choices to reflect His heart. Real faith shows up in real relationships. And when I choose to treat others with the same grace I’ve been given, I’m living out what Jesus taught.
Prayer
Lord, thank You for loving me with patience and mercy. Help me treat others the way You would treat them. Guide my words and actions so they reflect Your heart in every situation. Amen
Life Reminder
When you treat others with the same grace God shows you, you live out His heart in everyday life.
